Poor Pea. Let down by the girls. I must admit though, as an old girl, that I would have preferred your other normal face. Not the housewifely baking face, but the youthful jumping up and down feet. oh, sorry, face.

HAHA Mark...behave!

Ups - Jimmy's Should I Stay or Should I Go - Nice location, great colours and crisp, sharp shot. An unusual idea but not sure it was what I see as a portrait. Sorry Jimmy.

Downs - Wavemachine's Don't Loose Your Head - Got my vote, fun shot, unusual take on the theme. Well done.

Ok so i have no ups or downs coz sadly i haven't entered for ages fo various reasons............. but i voted for reinardinas because i loved the creativity going on, the texture the style the whole thing was excellent, DD i'm sorry but your pic reminded me of an old tortoise lol although the photography was great i just don't like the pic sorry, Cutter looked like a real gentleman in his picture which was gorgeous, donoreo had killer eyes in his shot and Dans reminded me of an angry footballer in a good way!! In fact all the photographs this comp were really really good and well thought out well done everyone and soz if i didn't give you a mention-i seriously had trouble casting my vote!

HAHA The fact that my pic caused a reaction meant it was visually stimulating, and thats what i wanted. I love photo's that visually make an impact so I achieved my goal. The original was even worse..the face mask was aloe vera and dried a kind of baby poo green colour which, in America colloquialism is called DOOKIE (thanks to the band Green Day for that..lol (me fav band)).

I keep forgetting my new 60D has a swivel screen so focusing took me ages, till I remembered and flipped up the screen....then I couldn't wear my glasses so SEEING the screen meant glasses on, glasses off, glasses on, glasses off. I was amazed to have actually achieved a photo at all, it was a nightmare!

Anyway, a fun theme, loved it, my favourite I think.

Thanks Kez for the vote and crit. The only real crit I've had so far.

I agree with your points on the other shots, apart from: "Cutter looked like a real gentleman ."
I've known him long enough to know he is one!

Well, a great theme and I was sort of looking forward to it. I wanted to try the old flour in y'face shot but left it until the last minute and hadn't worked out how to do it. I was quite pleased but need to have another go. I guess it didn't float your boats either since I'm a nillie this week - high key flour shot next week!!!

Below: Jimmyosram - "Should I stay or Should I Go"
Great location and a nice ghostly figure (double exposed) to go with it My only crit really is that we didn't get to see enough of you in a theme of self portrait :-)

Above: Cutter - Help Me. The lighting on this shot was superb with the back-light behind the head and the down-light ligting up the hands (particularly liked how the right hand was lit). A techically tricky shot that was typically well executed ;-)

My vote went to Digidiva - Tortured Souls. I thought this was a stunning shot. The skin tones, pose, focus were all fantastic. The contrast of your cracked face was perfect. Then the mirror image was an inspired idea. Great image.

Thanks pea.....It's a huge interest of mine, making images that make an instant visual impact. A few times on here, people have commented about how scary or even vile my images are and how they can't look at them. For me that's the perfect compliment. It means I did what I wanted and made an impact.
