Ah, you're getting the hang of being a photographer. One of my Flickr contacts never leaves the house without a camera. It's either his Nikon dslr, or a Panasonic point and shoot, but he does not miss a photo opportinity.

Charlie, I'd pat you on the back with pleasure, but I don't know how blogspots work. Can I comment/pat there? Do I have to sign up? Or do you run a parallel series on Flickr?

I don't think you have to sign up, but in an attempt to master flickr I have also set up a set (?!) which I think is what I should do, which is here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/charlie...7628705970129/
May be a bit out of order though, I am very confused!

A bit late, but I've been busy elsewhere.
I'll add you to my contacts on Flickr, so I can keep track of your new uploads.

Well as some of you know I am still going on day 14, so I thought I would share a few thoughts with you in case you are interested.

The first week wasn't to bad but the second week has been much harder mainly in the weekdays when I have a lot less time.

I have to say it is proving to be really good experience, I am finding I am thinking a lot lot more carefully when I press the shutter button, II am a lot more critical about my shots, am being forced to look in more detail for sutiable subjects, I seem to be hooking up with more people on flickr now and have already learnt from them and finally when a theme is announced on the forum I am finding that I am buzzing with more ideas.

I think it is something everyone whos is serious about photography should think about doing although as suggested by a collegue I am thinking of setting myself themes for a few days to make it a little easier to find subject, fairly generic themes such as motion, texture, flora etc.

I think it is going to get much tougher in the winter months however in the lighter evenings I will be able to get out and about more.

The bottom line is I am just as keen to carry on as when I started, I would love to hear the thoughts of others on this.

Pleased to read it Dave. A lot more thinking, never comes amiss! And taking care when aiming (or pressing the shutter button as you call it), also is useful.

Be careful with those people on Flickr though, you never know ... Some can be really nasty.

Only fifty weeks to go; you'll get there ... in the end.

As I am involved in 'back patting' (sometimes more akin to back stabbing), I have no time to follow in your and Pea's footsteps, but I wish you all the best!

Now the serious bit. Never realised it is such an engrossing business and that it teaches you so much. Maybe I should follow in your footsteps. Later.

I am having a problem in that with all of these indoor shots, I could use a macro lens.

I'm still going strong, been out a few times more than I'd normally go out and trying to find ways to make the really mundane things around me into photo opportunities

Do you mean you could do with one, or should use one (that you already own)?

And you're doing very well, said the housewife who pretends to know (a little) about photography.
