I loaded the new site on my iPod for the first time last. Ight and again this morning. It takes nearly 2 minutes to load. That's far worse than Digital SLR Magazine which I thought was slow. If it stays like this, I won't even bother as it totally locks up the iPod and you can't even abort the process while you are waiting.
Very, very slow to just load the home page on my iPhone 4s over wifi. Once the page loads the site seems ok speed-wise.

I do not care as I find the screen too small on the phone to use it.

Anyone with an iPad that can check it?

everyone can increase the number of views of a picture

If I click 50 times on a pic of mine, it will have 50 more views.
And so the most viewed images are misrepresented (i don't know if it's the right word)

Can someone remove a spam post from the 'Gallery critique' thread please?

I won't repeat names so as not to advertise any further, but it is the third post, probably above the post I am now going to write. (Hope I make sense!)

Reinardina, did you know you can report spam posts direct by clicking the little red bordered triangle top right of each post?
This shoud send a msg to the moderators to warn them (I;ve done it on the post you mentioned)

Thank you! I think I might have read about the possibilty, because it sounded vaguely familiar, but it totally slipped my mind. I'll try to remember next time.

Mark G posted a question about critiqueing photos in the galleries (see separate thread).
I just wondered if it would be possible to add a button, so people can say whether or not they mind receiving critiques?

I can already see a problem here, as there will then be people who expect critiques, and will be disappointed if nothing happens!

With this new gallery system, it is obvious, more people are actively looking at the pictures and leaving comments. Wonder how long that continues?

There is only 473 images uploaded so far, that's why.

The fact, that you get served a random selection of shots when you go to the forum page, may also have something to do with it.

But you're right, once the number goes up, it may well become a totally different matter.

Before we get to that stage, I hope they sort out the problems; at the moment it is a bit of a shambles.

Gallery: When I'm viewing an image with a filmstrip below it, and I click an image in the filmstrip, instead of displaying the new selection and leaving the page positioning alone, the whole page is repainted & I have to scroll down to see the newly selected image & filmstrip. This gets annoying and I don't want to do it more than a couple of times.

And does anyone else think the Gallery's Camera Information is just a tiny bit useless?
