About half the images I've tried to upload are rejected as 'Invalid Files'. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this, some are very small (˝MB), some fairly large (4.5MB), some in a group where others are OK, and some where the whole group is invalid?????

I had the same problem trying to upload a new avatar. It is the same as the one I use on Flickr; it is a crop of a portrait. I can upload the whole picture, but not the cropped version. I tried resaving it in several different ways, but the site won't accept it.

Is there, or will there be (yes please!) a possibility to create 'sub categories' in one's own gallery. I just uploaded some demolition shots, which I would like to keep seperate from, say, flower shots.

Reinardina, when you click on 'my stuff' the drop down box has 4 titles, the last one is 'category admin'. You can set separate folders here.

Ok, so how do you edit a photo?

I've forgotten to give my shots a title but can;t see a way to edit it so I can change the title

Cathus. When you view that image, just above it on the right hand side you should see a little "image tools" dropdown.

Anyone finding other people posting in their personal albums? Dunno if this is because I have mod permissions, but I'm now finding this gallery plugin to be somewhat confusing to say the least. lol.. Got a horrible feeling this is going to get very messy.

Stuart. Loosely translated. You mean you guys spent 30 seconds adding a plugin, and forgot to set it up, lol..

A little info on how the Member's Categories work would be handy. Looks like any category added by members is open for anyone to post to it by default. For example, I added a category "Miscellaneous" and when I view this via "My Stuff" it contains images from other members. I can post to other peoples albums (which are actually just public categories, unless you set the permissions for each category).

Lurkalot,

I spotted the ability for everyone to post in user-created forums, so I just created a couple with my name - "cathus - places", "cathus - macro" - and unticked the box allowing others to post in them.

The problem will be in a few months time, the drop down list of galleries will be humungous and unwieldy.

The gallery plugin doesn't appear to be the most straightforward method

Would I be right in thinking that it would be wise to disable user galleries and get moderators to create appropriate categories instead?

Please let me know your thoughts.
