Only not with my favourite shot; I'm convinced they made a mistake there! But it's probably better for your niece, that she'll be left in peace for a bit longer.

But who am I to judge? My taste simply does come nowhere near that of the people who put together the short lists.

Congratulations to all who made it!
Thanks, Reinardina :-)

She will be back next year in some shot or another! ;-)

She's bound to make it big time one day!

If not here, then some scout will spot her one day, and we'll see her everywhere.

I'll be smugly sitting back, grinning and saying: "I told you so!"

Don't think I'll enter again; at the moment I'm 'otherwise engaged,' photographically speaking.

But then again, I wasn't going to enter this time, so who knows ...

I didn't make the shortlists but congrats to all those who did, there are some stunning images amongst the finalists... something to aim for next year (this was my first year entering POTY)

Thanks :-) She does fancy herself as a model or photographer. She's got my 3yr old nephew Charlie posing and doing catwalks now as wel :-)
I just uploaded another photo of her here:

Some absolutely incredible photographs in the shortlist. So much so, that I don't think I'll bother entering next year and save myself a tenner LOL!

Glad to see some images that I thought would make it through, have done so. Great to see Karen and Jim's work featured in there too. A heartily deserved congratulations on making it to the top 300, to both of you. I have my fingers crossed as you are both very deserving and inspirational photographers, whether you realize it or not!

Thanks very much, Aaron :-) I was surprised the shots of your nephew's never made it in the friends and family section. They certainly had my vote.
