Stormy day at the pier

These are of my local pier where I sued to dodge waves as a kid.
It was hard work standing let alone holding the camera steady

I really like the light and muted colours in these shots. The longer exposure used during the last shot really works with the sky and water. Was the rainbow really there in shot number 2?

Thanks for the comments Karen.
The rainbow was indeed there and appears in several shots I took.

The long exposure was shot with welding glass and the wind was about 4o mph so it was difficult

I did think it was but just checking. I seemed to have seen lots of shots lately on flickr where people are using a fake rainbow filter! :-) You did well considering the conditions and I'd never guess it was welding glass! :-)

No probs asking Karen.

The thing with welding glass is to get some settings to remove the cast.
Would obviously much easier with a good filter.
