I would agree with the thought on legal advice and if you do have a case, stick it to too him or get him to give you your dew credit but go for the legal advice first

the problem is that the law firm is the people who own the Media place!! and wouldn't go with a big bill! ..

Amy,

The problem is here in Kuwait i don't have any legal rights whats so ever even if I showed the raw image in my camera , every time i take a shoot i have to Submit it to the Ministry and pay a fee of xxxx amount !! ...

i have already told them that you guys stated that its my own copy right and even you would ask me for using it in any print and submit a high resolution when you already have it , they simply said No in KUWAIT !!! ..

here's their web site the picture of the Towers in the fire work is the one that they took

www.galbq8.com and imagine that their project will brings them MILLIONS of dollars =) ..

Nothing thats all i can say .. no rights to us .. that's why i always upload them in low resolution! .. and if anyone is interested they'd contact me and if i give a reasonable bill they'll run away

Trouble is they have the protection set the wrong way around in the gallery here which doesn't help, as I pointed out on many occasions.

The smaller low res intermediate pics have a transparent gif overlay on them, so if you right click and copy, all you'll grab is a blank image. If however, you click to view full size, then you can copy the image.

If you were going to steal a image, which one would you choose.

Thats why i started Uploading in Low res. (800 pixels) ! ..

you guys should close off the LARGE view for non registered people =) or at least allow us to always upload low res. so that people from here or anywhere who are not aware of copyright should know about it

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience - but what is to stop you from always uploading low-res images? We would of course always encourage people to do that for their own benefit, but not everybody will.

Just to note though, the galleries are going soon, so making changes to them as they are now is pointless. I'm not sure how the new galleries will work (I haven't seen the designs or any of the plans) but I will pass on your comments regardless.

Make sure you back up any of the photos you have stored here as when the site switches to Digital Camera World they will no longer be available (again we would never recommend the photos on here be your only copies anyway).

Best wishes,

Amy

Hmm, giving people a "Generous 5mb per file limit" isn't really encouraging people to upload low res.. Said before this should be reduced, there's absolutely no need to upload files of that size for web use.
