Question Backless menace

I stayed in hospital last year and my mum had to get me a pair of slippers. All she could find was those horrible flip flop backless slipper type 'things ' which your not allowed to wear in hospital as they are considered too dangerous.

Why is it that these slippers are so fashionable? I think they are a menace, they don't do much for your feet except fly off when you don't want them too. What does anyone else think.

No idea really about slipper fashion. I am terrible for going barefoot or wearing bed socks while in my PJs :-)

Always fancied doing a photo project though on nightwear and making portraits of hundreds of people in the different ( or none) nightwear that they wear to bed!
I'd imagine everyone has a favourite style - I love cartoon pjs and really bright colours!

I'm with Karen - I'm more a bare foot person. On the odd occasion I have worn slippers they have been the boudoir type of mules (heels and backless - a hospital's worst nightmare ...)

Again Karen I'm in the 'none' camp for nightwear too - although I do have shorts and t-shirt style for wandering around the house when Bob and I aren't alone

I'm in the process of a 'feet' project - Our feet are are own true private transport and walking is something we take for granted from a very early age
