I wouldn't say it's bad form... Shortlists are due to be announced in November and we're only just half way through the month.

I started this thread just to find out whether anybody had heard yet or not and as a result find out whether it was safe to uncross my fingers or not (I need all the help I can get!)

I agree about those shortlisted already being contacted, as for timelines, I found this...

8. Notification
Winners, runners-up, highly commended and commended entrants within each category will be announced on the competition website on 13th December 2011 and in issue 120 of Digital Camera magazine in December 2011.

I'd imagine they had already printed that issue or are about to as well. Oh well never mind, it will be nice to see who did win this year and what shots made the grade.

I think this is a very badly organised comp ,the comp site still says "crafting the judges" ,
not heard (read) a thing on whats happening ,i dont think i will be paying a tenner next year and probably buy a Mc D`s as someone said on the forum before lol

I updated last week what was happening - the shortlists will be revealed in November, with the winner being revealed in December.
