You can't. It doesn't matter how much gear you have, you always need more, then you need a bigger bag to store it, then you need .....

It's endless. But, don't worry - every time your wife buys a new pair of shoes, you can buy a new tripod or something. Works for me!

Or by them something when buying new gear for yourself. I bought a nice down coat for my partner then bought my new camera. Only mistake was the coat wasn't red.

As I used to say on DCM, rattle the photos off. That way you learn what works, and what does what. You're not wasting anything, other than battery power.

I had already instituted the "Shoe Rule". If new shoes come into the house, old shoes must leave.
