The yn-465 comes in 2 versions a canon one and a nikon. They will not work on the other brand so make sure you get the right one. I'm amazed how good it works. I've never owned a flashgun before so i can not compare it to a brand name one but i have no complaints.

Hi Jeff,
It's probably 18 months since I bought mine (Yes, it's still working!), so I have rely on my memory, which is not as good as my camera.
I bought mine through an eBay seller who was very quick on delivery. I seem to recall there were several versions of the same model available, Nikon, Cannon, Pentax, Olympus etc., but I notice Amazon are listing them and imply that it's a 'one size fits all' unless they ask you to be specific in the order stage.

Tricky question to answer.

I either mount the flash directly on the camera's hot-shoe, or use it's built-in slave functions (which work fine).

Sometimes I use a sound trigger that I built myself about 40 years ago which, strangely, still works

yongnuo make a good trigger to the rf-603. It will not send the ttl information though so when of camera you will have to set it manually.

WOW! Something that's not automatic that you have to think about. That's novel.

Contacted the company that thefonz78 suggested ( reliable199@gmail.com ) and told them that i wanted the flashguns and triggers for a Canon 40D and their reply was that they do not offer a flashgun for that camera?????
Don't know what to do now.
