Uploading Images

Hi,
I have just set up an account on Photo Radar. Have uploaded 5 images. Can
you please advise me on correct size for uploading images. It looks like my
images are not displaying correctly.

Hi Zoritza,

I had a look at your gallery and can seen no problems.

However, please note that soon the gallery will be switched off, so please make sure you have backups of all your images.

No sure what you mean by this Amy. Is photoradar deleting everybody's images that have been uploaded over a period for some of years rather than weeks. Am I missing something here?

My understanding is that everyone's shots will cease to be available as the gallery in its present form is not going to exist anymore.

Hi f11,

This was covered in Stuart's original announcement,

"Because we're building galleries into the forums, we won't need the existing galleries, and we'll be turning them off shortly. If they are your only on-line copies of those photographs, now would be a good time to move them."

Karen is correct - we will no longer be using the existing galleries.

Just wanted to check something Re: the announcement. This was or should have also been sent out via email to all the registered members. Was this the case? Only asking because I don't remember seeing the email.

Can anyone confirm this please, did anyone receive a email announcement?

Nope. Emails from the site aren't set up correctly - hence not receiving emails when you get a PM...

Thank goodness I do get an email when I receive a PM, but I never got anything about the upcoming changes to the site!

I did wonder about the email setup, but I do get emails from Pm's. Trouble is they always seem to end up in my Junk folder (spam folder).

Thanks, looks like the site will be bombarded with complaints of "no one told us the galleries were closing, and now I've lost all my images" type of thing soon then.

If done properly, when announcing a topic, or post, it should also be sent out via email, so everyone see's it. That's how most forum app's work.
