Down - WodM's "Every Pennny Counts" - Liked the black and silver, good composition just felt there was a bit too much script which distracted from the coins.

Mine - Nillie - What can I say? Tried my best. Look forward to critique so I can see why it didn't appeal. Have a feeling it was the font colour and style.

Wait for my 1st 60D entry, da, da dahhhhhhhh! Excited, but on holiday so may not 'get one in'
Have a great holiday!

Have you remembered to buy a 'godzilla pod' to use as a tripod on holiday? They're light to carry, small and very versatile.

I remember last time, you were disappointed with some shots because you should have used a tripod, but did not feel like dragging one around.

I had a little surprise today....I found out about a £400 windfall which I should receive in December so I am going to buy my long awaited PC for myself for Christmas. Do I need full blown Photoshop or can I get away with elements or something? Advice please?

You one of the lucky tax returns?

Anyway, good for you!

I know plenty of people who do amazing things with Elements, but the full blown version is of course much more versatile. Depends what you want to do I suppose.

I use elements, and haven't tried half of the possibilities; for Photoshop I'd probably need years to figure out how and what and wherefore.

Congats to pea for a fine picture.

Ups - Mark's Charity Appeal
For me, there were too many font types in this poster and the red needed to be one shade and not 3. Good crisp coins but sorry it did not do it for me.

Down - Small Change Changes Lives
Good sharp images of the coins, quite a bit of unused space maybe a bit of a closer crop? still what do i know as i got NO votes.

Mine, well i tried to stear clear of just taking a picture of coins and adding some text and look where it got me, oh well, always next week.

Thanks again for voting for me. I must admit I was pleased with myself once I'd worked out how to capture the spinning coins using the strobe function on my flash.

Above: wodm - Every Penny Counts
A great image with the pure black and silver, but for me there was a bit too much text and too much black space. I'd have liked to see more of the coins in focus rather than the narrow band but that does help to give it depth, so hard to decide.

Below: Reinardina - Mark's Charity Appeal
Good clear shots of the coins with plenty of detail and contrast. I like the Christmassy feel but the layout of the text doesn't appeal tp me. I think it's the way each block is centre aligned but not lined up with anything. Also, even though the box holds it together, the parts still look a little disconnected. I think maybe some overlap of the components may have helped. Nice clean 'cut-out' of the coins.

My vote went to Cutter - Give Three Pounds Monthly. I just loved the texture he'd brought out on those ridges on the coins.

New theme on it's way tomorrow.

Well done pea24 i thought your was the pick of the bunch and got my vote and you taught me something lol, rasterise
It just catches the eye and is to the point.

up digidiva. Shocked at how fast you did this you were straight in there with a great poster and another which wouldn't look out of place on a wall somewhere.

Down pea24 see above.

I am in no position to coment on composisions etc. as i have no idea but, i do know what i like and i like all of them.

Thanks for the comment on mine they give encouragement as my problem this week was text not the actual shot which give me hope lol
