keystroke macros

Not as off topic as it might seem, but ....

.....I would like to automate a number of my computer/photo tasks which require multiple keystokes.

Can anybody explain how to do this in Windows 7, so that - say - two keystrokes will activate a chain of seven or eight?

Your question seems a little vague Colin but if I have interpreted it correctly, I think it depends on what version of photoshop you have but 'Actions' seems to be what you are looking for.

If your tasks are all in Photoshop, then as Steve says, actions are your best bet. If you need to do stuff in windows or other programs, then there are various shareware macro apps out there. Just be careful to scan them for viri!
