Oldboy I have wited a while for this upgrade and WOW, I can't wait..I joined here knowing absolutely nothing and with the help of you guys here, I have seen my photos go from strength to strength. I have the confidence now to take a decent photo but lack the technology. Once the 60D is in place, I have the mac's and photoshop of college to fall on (till I get my own) and hopefully I will make the leap from rubbish to good then from good to great

I know how you feel as I was the same when I upgraded from the D70 to the D200. I couldn't wait to get out and take some photos and rush back to look at them on my PC. I was very disappointed with the results and even considered returning the camera to the store on Monday morning. I read through the manual and found out some plonker/plonkers had changed every setting in the camera to produce the worse results possible. It was the last one in the shop so guess it was used as a demostration model. After resetting everything I had a cracking camera which produced wonderful shots. The only downside was it's low light results which produced a lot of noise and the only reason I upgraded to a D3. I still use on occasons and it still performs well. I didn't get the same buzz with the D3.
