Warkworth Castle

Managed to find the far riverbank at Warkworth. Wasn't as far as I thought, but access to a view of the castle was difficult.

As I don't have a grad filter for my Tokina I used the technique of waving a 2 stop filter in front of the lens during the exposure. Seemed to work well.

The lines in the water were caused by leaves floating past.

Nice composition Paul, but I think the light conditions you were faced with were a bit harsh. The long grass on the left looks close to being burnt out, whilst the far bank on the right looks in very heavy shadow and you've lost some detail. Not sure about the pink patch of sky, as it looks a bit odd all on it's own.

The ski is good, it doesnt take the attention away from the foreground and it blends with the autumenel (spelling) colours in the trees. THUMBS UP!
