Across the River

Not sure whether I've got the exposure/brightness right on this image, although it seems brighter in print.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Definitely looks under exposed to me , if you check it with the histogram it shows a large gap on the right hand side of the graph .
Printing an image will often show a difference between the print and the image on your monitor .

I use NX2 and will be using elements 9 soon.
Yeah it would be good to see what you've done with it.

Here you go, Didnt do much, Simply bosted the Brightness, then run it through Nik silver effex Wich brought out the clouds, And then after that, just Dodged the Foreground and the Geese, Imo i like it, Some one else might be able to do a better job, but this should get you started,

Looks good Dan, by the way Wintermute you can some how calibrate your printer, and your monitor. I don't bother with the printer though I use a lab, but the monitor is pretty important.

OKay thanks I'll give that a go. Starting to process pictures has made me realise how rubbish my laptop is for that task, but i guess if in doubt I should just check the histogram
