Not sure about this ..

Again, help me out folks. Not sure if this shot is interesting enough to exist on it's own.

I don't think you need it to be any more interesting but may be a different crop would make for a more contemporary piece of art rather than a photo .

It is good. I think it would look good in a panoramic crop.

I agree, Don. Certainly doesn't work as a square crop unless you just crop the centre out of the whole image, from just below the breaking wave.

IMHO Paul, the moon is too central as is the horizon. A bit of a crop from the top and the right hand side and it would be an absolute belter.

I'm going to buck the trend a little here and say I like the crop. Sure, it would work well if cropped and if it was a panoramic style.
But sometimes it nice to see the 'rules' broken.

I also love the range of blues and the orange moon. For me it's a shot that works with the moon smack bang in the middle.

I'm with Jediboy... for me the picture works just the way it is.

Cropping to put the moon closer to one of the thirds intersections runs the risk of the wave leading your eye past the moon and out of the picture.

Great shot and colours, Paul.

Les

Well heres my take for what its worth, I would duplicate the layer put a horizontal motion blur on it, then bring back the moon so its sharp.Would look very arty, just my opinnion Paul.
