Overseas Hire

I'm heading to Portugal next week and travelling light.

I would like to know if there is anywhere out there where I can hire a D-SLR?

I am staying near Figueira.

No idea I'm afraid, but I imagine they'd be hesitant about hiring out to someone with no fixed address in Portugal. It's possibly better to hire one here and agree with them that you're taking it overseas...

Then he might as well take his own I think the point was they did not want to pack their own equipment.

Thanks Guys. I can understand the implications due to not having a fixed address in Portugal. Will squeeze a compact in my bag instead as a quick google search has revealed that places to hire an SLR are few and far between and mostly based on the Mediterranean coast (about 200 miles from where I'm staying on the Atlantic coast).
