Crikey i almost forgot to say i voted for Cutter because I feel a lot of patience needs to be put into that picture and it's clarity is beautiful, I think it is perfect with or without the grey areas!
And..............I almost voted for Reinardina because the natural lighting in her picture makes it amazing the crystal looks real!! and the basket and bottle layout is nice, it really reminds me of a relaxing drink-so well done!
Apologies for being so late with this.. it's been a daft week.
First, congrats to Cutter on his well deserved win, and thanks to him for setting another challenging theme.
Thanks to Nigel Powles for the voting for my shot, and thanks to Sie for the crit. Looking at the shot now, Sie is right - the framing is far too tight.
I took almost 40 pictures of those bottles before getting the lighting and angles that worked. Clearly I'd lost a bit of concentration by the time that shot was taken.

Sie's "View over wet Morland"
A great, well excecuted idea. The DOF is spot-on, and there is terrific detail. The lighting works well, specially with the different tones and hues towards the neck of the bottle.
The imperfections in the bottle just below the neck were very distracting, because it looks as though it should spell out a word, but I couldn't make out the letters.
My vote went to Hedgehog's "Meantime" - I loved the creativity and the quirky humour, as well as the way the different elements were brought together.
