September Cover

A bit disturbed by the guy taking a photo with his left eye open, is it just me or is that wrong.

I quite often keep my left eye open, especially with sports & aviation photography.

I'm the same - always keep my left eye open when doing action photography. It has saved me from a few near-misses when bikes and cars have piled off the track!

However, I instinctively close my left eye as soon as I begin shooting portraits as you tend to find that subjects will try and keep eye contact with you and not the lens!

He was assimilated as a Borg in a previous life!

I too often keep my left eye open to check on what's happening - but I haven't benefitted from Borgness (though some may argue differently! )

Resistance is futile! (someone had to say it) (he started it!).

It's hand as you will be able to use your peripheral vision as stated for action shots or people walking into the frame as you shoot.
