One more photo for critique

Here is one more photo for your attention!
Little information about the photo: it was maded in last March, in forest not far from Moscow. The temperature was about -15 C. The model is painter Yulia Mershieva - she is the best model for me.

Hi Andi

Again you have a very nice image technically speaking it looks excellent , but personally the scene looks just a bit to staged for my liking . I would prefer either a more candid looking shot as if you had just come across Yulia painting in the woods and didn't want to disturb her or one with a bit more information in it for example either a part painted canvas or a peek at what she is looking at .
These are as ever my own preferences and you should always stick to your own convictions .

Mark

Ps Well done on surviving the -15 weather .

Dear Mark,
I understand your opinion!
First of all I want to say, that it is NOT staged photo
And also I gave to add that this photo is very nice whet it is printed 40x50 sm! It is very beautifull!
But for you, Mark, here is another photo from the seria - I think you like it more because it doesn't look like staged.

Surely it is staged, though? A model? In the woods in -15c? It might also have been better to see something on the canvas..... unless, of course, she was painting the snow. Wouldn't the paint have gone solid at that temperature?

When I said "model" I ment "the woman on the photo". She was paining and I was walking near and sometimes made some photos.
Just for you here is a photo with canvas:

I imagine Andi mistook the meaning of the word "staged" for studio work, simulating an outdoor scene.

As Mark suggested, I prefer the candour of the second image as it suggests you don't want to disturb her as she paints. Again, if the first image had something on the canvas painting, it would be more convincing and fill the image with something other than a large section of blank canvas.

But you have some nice shots Andi, all three images make an interesting scene, and are technically well taken.

Rick.
