Hug a Hoodie 1

The theatre group Angry Young Men used a really creative way of promoting their act 'Lost in Mozart' - currently on at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011.

They had a placard up on the Royal Mile that invited folk to 'Hug a Hoodie' and one of the guys you could hug is the one in this picture. Though he looks tough initially, he would break out into a warm smile as soon as anyone approached him to be hugged.

First impressions can certainly be deceptive!!!

Great shot! I think it does a lot to highlight current events and perceptions people have. With the story behind it, I it challenges you to not judge on appearance alone and also goes a long way to highlight the paranoia and fear that I think grips the overwhelming majority of societies in general.
