Monopod

Hey folks

Need a new monopod as the one I have is starting to bend with the weight of a 300mm f2.8 and a camera body with grip.

Don't know what's good out there on the market at the moment so has anyone got any suggestions for something that's fairly heavy duty and will extend up fairly high?

Hi Bob,

Have a look on ebay for the old Manfrotto 679 (aluminum finish). I bought one second hand for £16 a while back, in excellent condition. My Dad has the identical one, which he's had since 1989 and its still going strong 22 years later. Its lightweight but very robust.
