screw on wide angle as a start.

I have a friend thats just stared going out shooting with me. And after seeing my wide angle shots is decided he wants one. He can not afford one until the new year. Is it worth him getting a screw on one for a £10 on ebay? I know its not going to be that good. But it will get him going on shooting in wide angle and £10 is not much to spend. Has anyone used one and have example photos i can see?

I haven't used one but, browsing the forums, I understand that the optical capabilities of such lenses are not very good. I think that your friend may be better off putting the £10 towards his new lens.

In all reality, it is, I suppose, just a filter.

You get what you pay for, so I agree the quality is likely to be terrible.

Yes it will be terrible but i thought maybe it would get them started. I'll tell him to wait and see what santa brings him!
