Stick'em up!!

This is a shot with my little boy using my sigma wide angle. converted to black and white added some vignetting. It looks like he pretending to point a gun. Petty his hand is so blurry but i still think its a nice fun shot.

Hi Robert,

I'm a fan of using wide angle lenses for close portraiture, as you can get some really interesting perspectives. I think its a nice, fun shot of your little one and I don't think that it matters that there is some motion blur on his hand.

Checking the histogram in photoshop, it looks like you don't have the full tonal range of blacks to whites. A quick levels adjustment will correct this and maybe just a small tweak in curves for the contrast to give it a little more punch. Other than that, I think its a good shot.

Thank you it's always hard knowing how much contrast to add on babies. I've edited the jpeg with the recommendations i will go back and do it properly in raw. Shadows are still i bit clipped i will tackle this in raw highlights and contract is better.
