I'd only had my current camera a few days when I was asked to take some group pictures of some visiting dignitaries in a very short time window. I borrowed my daughter's studio flash (never used before) which I set up in record time. Plonked the camera on the tripod, set the flash to ½ power set the aperture to f8 and took a test pic. I intended to check the result, but hit the Live View button in error. A brief glance and everything looked great, so proceeded to bash off a number of pix.
Needless to say, half power was nowhere near enough and f8 too small, all the images were about 3 - 4 stops underexposed.
Doh!
