DVDR9 Lightscribe?

Does anyone know where you can buy DVD+/-R9 Lightscribe discs from in the UK? You can buy them in the States, Verbatim make them, but none of my usual suppliers stock them. Ideally I want a cake of around 25 or more but nowhere seems to stock them in Blighty!

Play.com stock them, but instead of using the American DVD 9 search name try using dual layer which most UK sellers seem to prefer.

I do wonder what the future holds for light scribe, now even my lappy has a bluray burner and they are 25GB single layer, £3 each though atm.

Aha! Cheers Flake.

Lightscribe has always been a bit of a niche product but I much prefer it to using inkjet labels or printing directly to disc even if it does take longer to print. Personally I think Lightscribe will do one of two things, either die off over a few years before finally disappearing or it will get picked up by new formats.

Personally I'd love to see a Lightscribe Blu-Ray disc. As for the current costs of blu-ray discs, don't forget that when DVD9 (Dual Layer discs) first came out they too were around £3 a disc, now you can get them for a few pence a disc. Within a year or two we'll see the price of blu-ray discs plummet along with the burners and when that happens blu-ray will quickly become the dominant format and we'll look at CD's & DVD's in the same way that we currently look at Floppy Discs!
