You could try, it should be easy to clone the trees. I did not really notice it though. Nice foreground interest. It could use a bit more "rule of thirds" as the Mill is more centred that I would prefer. A crop may help that.

Looks familiar, i have an identical shot on my laptop, lol, its nice, Although i would have gone lower, i think your up on the top of the bank right? Ive lefty it in on mine, but the buildings more promintent on mine, i cant clone it out, really struggle with it,
The Duck weed in the river was the thing i hated when there, more of a winter spot,

Dan

I agree with Don about the 3rds and think a crop would improve the shot. There is too much foreground which doesn't add anything to it. I agree with Dan about going a bit lower too. It might have been nice to have got closer to the grass so that some of that was in the shot, but out of focus, to give it more depth of field.

I had a quick play in PS. Cropped the image somewhat. Also applied a high pass filter to give it a tweak. Cloned out the building and dodged and burned the building a little, to coax out more detail/texture.

I think I would go for a portrait crop, removing the house on the right and the duck weed on the left, this still keeps the foreground interest and will help with the rule of thirds.

Ah... Sturminster Newton Mill, Dorset. (I used to live around the corner). Must have been photographed thousands of times but you've made a good job of it. I agree with the edits amk1977 made.... but might have gone even further with cropping on the left. Alternatively, cropping to a letter-box frame, about 3:1.... with the sky and foreground flowers becoming just fringes.

I really like the last crop. It contains just the right amount of everything and creates a nice transition from the left to the right side. Great shot! Perhaps if you still have the RAW file maybe you could try and change the temperature a little bit. Just to warm up the photo a little bit

Yep - the 'letter-box' shot for me..... I tried it myself and went even further with cropping top and bottom... makes a pleasant shape for a picture for a wall.
