Rating stars

Just checking the comments in my gallery I find I often miss ones placed without the author using the star rating activation (the grey stars below where comments are written) as I do not trawl my own pictures every day and I apologise if I miss responding

I must admit that I don't thunk I've ever checked my gallery on here. I uploaded a few shots during beta testing to make sure it worked but I find these galleries to be difficult to navigate and use.

I, therefore, also add my aplogies to those from Andy if I've failed to respond to any comments left (good or bad ). If people do want to see my shots I suggest looking at my website (also has some tutorials etc on) or my Flickr

I find the galleries here largely irrelevant I use mine to hold pics that I may wish to post in forums and as such may not be the best of images anyway but some peeps have kindly left comments and it would be nice to be able to thank them in a timely manner but as mentioned elsewhere this site has not been designed with photographers in mind ( or with any mind for that matter )

Yes, it is not that encouraging - I see I could easily miss comments and consequently look rude by not replying

I hope this gets sorted quickly - It is more annoying than the antispam widget

I suggest people should spend more time looking through the galleries - rather than "pontificating" in the forums. -

Why !?!?!?!?

- firstly because despite the difficulties in navigating through them - there are some great images being posted by both previous and new members alike in the galleries - if you waste time trudging through the forums - then you will never have the pleasure of discovering the unusual and sometimes stunning images that are there to be enjoyed.

- secondly if you don't post any images in your own galleries - how can you expect anybody reading what you say in the forums to take you seriously from a photography point of view - without thinking you are merely a verbose commentator who has little skill or talent as a photographer.

Having said my piece - I now find myself rather irked having wasted precious time reading some of the irrelevant comments made here and elsewhere in the forums - when I could have been using it in a more productive fashion by taking new images and post editing others older photos.

Ah well - rant over !?!?!?!? - back to browsing the galleries - difficult though it is - then off out to see what can be "snapped" in the big wide world - got to be better than festering here - even in the damned rain.
