Cream Sea?

This is a shot just beside St Mary's Lighthouse. The sea was producing a load of, what can only be described as, cream, or shaving foam. Most bizarre!

Anyone know why?

Hi Jimmy, my source says that this is caused by passing ships, it's the detergent and general polution that the ships cast off. Basically over here in Northern Ireland we call it SCUM......

Hope this answers your question Jimmy....

Ah, I know what you're on about. We get that off the coast of Sunderland.

This is taken the same day, this is however 10 miles (or so) south near Sunderland. Looks like dirty snow doesn't it.

[Apologies for no PS tiding up - it's just a snapshot]
