I'm not going to take up the cudgels on behalf of paid-for apps vs free apps - people aren't mugs, if they buy our app and don't think it's good value, we'll take a kicking.

Same with the mag

If they do like our app, they'll keep buying it and we'll do more!

Here is another from iTunes U, based on CS5 but it is still very relevant to earlier editions CS4 etc.

Well worth a look if you can't afford the Mags one.

Great - i've started a thread on free Photoshop apps!

(note to self - keep your mouth shut next time!)

Seriously though, it's a free country but you get what you pay for!

Best, Geoff

Actually, it's a shame it's not available for iPhone because I would have bought it. Also can we have an app for this site for iPhone? I am connecting via iPhone now and its quite tricky.

It's a generalisation, not a point.

More of a stereotype I would say.

I have held off upgrading my Mac to Lion until I heard if there were any problems with Adobe products. I will still hold off for at least a week or two.

Nope! sorry about that Geoff, perhaps I should have started a different thread, Alternative Free apps.

I appreciate its very hard to design an app, then to have someone point out that there is a free version must be gauling, but as you correctly point out You Get What You Pay For. If the free app was worth paying for, they would be charging users for it, nuff said.
