New Amatuer would like input from experienced photographers

Hi,

I am new to photography, and would love to hear some feedback from more experienced photographers on some of my pictures that I have posted here on PHOTORADAR.COM.

My user name is khorn.

Thanks

Perhaps if you selected a couple of your shots and posted them in the thread...

Thats a nice shot. I like the lighting. Personally I would like a little more contrast in the sky which looks a little flat (to me) especially as there are some lovely cloud formations behind the model. There is also something to the left of the model which looks like a bee which I could clone out.

..and the 'spot healing brush' is by far the simplest way to remove bugs and flies (clone out
).Try and view all your images at 100 % when editing.

Please tell me you didn't take a child on to an active railway line!

derek773,

Actually that is an active line. We are the end of a cut through where you can hear a train coming 10 min before it gets there and behind us is about 1/2 mile of straight track.

You are actually the only person who has ever asked me about that.

So many people are hurt on railway lines I really don't think its worth the risk for a picture, even a good one. Whilst you may think your safe enough, you aren't concentrating on trains if depth of field, apperture and shutter speed is in your head! I won't even mention how illegal it is (in the UK at least)!
There are so many safer places to take pictures and develop your talent. I beg you, please don't do it again.
