Photomicroscopy

We're constantly told to always switch our DSLR's off when removing lenses as the sensor acts like a dust magnet in its charged state. However, I'd like to have a go at Photomicroscopy where an empty tube is fitted in place of the lens, which then replaces the eyepiece of the microscope. Is there any way to reduce the static charge when the camera is switched on in this situation?
