How do you Frame A3 prints?

I have recently purchased a Epson R2880 A3 printer, and have printed a few Border-less A3 shots. I've bought a really nice frame from B&Q http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.js...isSearch=false Should I just use the piece of white paper that comes with the frame as a backing board/mount board ? I've read in this months magazine that it's ' bad' to have the Photo ' stuck' to the glass as it can cause problems with mold etc. Since I have a non-generic sized frame, what would you suggest I do in terms of mounts and additional framing around the photo to allow for a small gap between the photo and glass ?

Thank You

That;s exactly what I was thinking! Should I just keep the white paper from what came with the frames as a backing, then cut the mount which will be visible and surround the picture from card? The only card I could get is the A1 sheet I think they are. I will look into a cutter, but from what I saw at staples, they were around £30 for A3.

they are not cheap but neither is a good print. I bought mine in a craft shop and I don't think I paid that much for it , I buy my card from craft shops too,

guess if you only want one, then better going to Athena (not sure how thats spell't) they will cut you one to order

Ok, Well I could do with a Cutter for my Uni work anyway ( Architecture, model making ). Would this be suitable http://www.staples.co.uk/desk-access...rotary-trimmer ? Can you ' start and stop' with this so that you place 2inches of the card in the blade then cut, rather then just cut it from the edge ? I already have a cutting mat too, but that's for freehand cutting really.

Do you need to glue anything or will the clips on the frame hold it just perfectly ? Any reccomendations on how to clean the glass, will normal window cleaner do the trick ?

Thank You

No that is just a trimmer you need something that will cut a hole in the middle of the card with a beveled edge
something like this
OARD-CUTTER-45-90-60cm-RULER-A2-CUTTING-MAT_W0QQitemZ250516635796QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cra fts_FramingMatting_EH?hash=item3a53f48094

If the backing board, front Matt and print are all the same size you will not need to glue anything as I find they rarely are, I fix the picture in place to the front Matt with masking tape

sorry link does not work

This is the sort of thing you need to cut your mounts. It is designed to bevel cut the aperture. The outside edges can be cut with a craft knife on your cutting mat, the ruler has a straight edge for the purpose.

Too slow (again).

This is what I want ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWFPH...eature=channel

Skip to about 1:20. She has a trimmer that allows you to lift the blade where you want, rather than starting from the edge. Do staples sell these?
