That may simply be because the D-BG4 battery grip for the K5/K7 is different to the older K10/K20's D-BG2 grip, but there's not much logic to that - or it might be that Park have got it completely wrong, although they insisted they had double-checked. Other Pentax Pro centres do seem to have a few D-BG4s in stock so I'm not sure quite what to make of it.

Thanks for the reply, guys. Got hold of someone at Sigma, problem with an internal contact. Issue resolved.
