Renaming my camera henry.

hi all, ive deceided to rename my Canon 400d, it will now be called Henry, due to the sheer amount of dust it consumes in a few short hours, so yeah its like a hoover, any one else get this?

Herbert Hoover was the US president but not the inventer of the Vacuum, that was John Murray Spangler, and William Henry Hoover was a tanner who brought Spangler's company and the rest is history.

Dust has always been the stuff of nightmares for photographers. In the old days a bit of dust inside the camera could put a scratch mark along the whole roll of film. Of course, nothing much could be done to save it from the dust bin once processed. Praise God for digital! At least it is a simple thing to save our precious images from total disaster.

My original 5d sucked in dust as though it was competing against industrial strength vacuum cleaners. My MKII is very much better at keeping it out.

Get yourself an antistatic cloth and keep wiping the surface of your camera until the dust gets the message. And be careful where you store the camera. Some areas in the home attract a lot of dust, like wardrobes/closet cupboards, for example.
