I just don't understand why this user has not been banned yet? I have been reporting this screen name for weeks , he has posted tons of spam and this morning some more!

http://www.photoradar.com/news/story...e-in-june-2011

How come his username is still valid?

Karen

Hi Karen,

I've banned him - but there are a few different users with different usernames/IPs all on the same theme, so they do keep cropping back up.

I take a look a couple of times a day to delete the spam on the main site though, so hopefully I'm catching most of it, and someone on the technical team is looking at ways to stop it.

I'll post any updates when I have them.

Amy

Nice one Amy. Thanks for the update. Hope you find a way to ban them forever.

You'll never stop it, but you' can slow it down a bit. Spambots are fairly easy to block, but a lot of these are humans, they are the most difficult TBH.

Yes, that would fix it.

We put a new measure in place on Friday afternoon to stop the spam on the main site.

I've just checked the comments section and I can't see any spam over the weekend.

If anyone has seen any, please feel free to let me know.

Best wishes,

Amy
