Good price but I wonder why only 3 months RTB warranty when the normal Dell warranty is 3-years on-site next working day? Personally, I'd pay the extra £25 at pcbuyit for the peace of mind of the long warranty but I know just how it feels when money is tight. Decisions, decisions...

You will have to get this right first time, Jim. Even the best computer in the world will seem like crap if your monitor isn't up to scratch. My view is that either the Dell Ultrasharp, HP, or Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD HDTV Widescreen LCD Monitor should be in the frame.

I have to admit... with so many actual models it's raining decisions... going to be either the Ultrasharp or the HP... which model and size yet to be decided! I really hate shopping!

I have a HP laptop but hate the screen quality as photos always look better on my work computer monitor. If i get a good monitor and plug it upto my laptop will it be better for photos?

To be honest, unless your laptop is fairly powerful as some of the new breeds are, I would certainly consider a desktop for editing. Laptops are fine for what they are, but I wouldn't waste my time editing on one. Others may feel differently about it of course.
