As suggested stick with that camera and go for the macro lens you want. The Tamron 90mm is a good one!

cool thanks i'll check it out,was looking at the canon 100mm efs but it seems the tamron is a worthy competitior...........and cheaper!

The Tamron generally does better than the Canon in most head to head tests and (as you already said) it is a LOT cheaper!
