Photographing a sculpture

Me and the family went to visit Bede's World in Jarrow (near Newcastle upon Tyne), and while there I took this shot of one of the sculptures in the centre. It's made of glass or resin I think.

I've never photographed art before and the light was awful but I managed to squeeze this shot out.

Great shot - very moody / arty (no pun intended)

Nice shot with great lighting on the sculpture.
Minor critcisms are that I find the door brightness distracting and its a pity you missed some of the base off though I would be tempted to crop it at the soles of the feet.

Jimmy,
I agree with Alf, crop to the bottom of the feet - I'd also shade out the bright area to the picture right as currently the eye is drawn between the bright spots (doorway and light to the right). Maybe clone out the projector as well.
