Close up of Snail

taken with d3100 / 18-55 kit lense

just walking the backyard and felt like shooting stuff....been rainy and horrible weather lately...thanks for looking and your C&C

I like the third shot the best Jeeps, closely followed by your second shot. The problem I have with your first shot is that you didn't manage to get the whole of the snail in focus, because your depth of field was either too short or you used the wrong focus point to set where it needed to be in focus from.

yeah, i agree wit u ian P , the first one coulda been better if the shell was also in focus.....thank you for your time and comment....

No.3 for me too. The dof is very good and I like the angle of the snail showing the front end dangly bits. It's a shame the front left eye, if that's what it is, isn't quite in focus. Perhaps one aperture stop more may have fixed that but you would have lost a degree of background bokeh in doing so.
Just goes to show with a bit of imagination there are many interesting things to capture, and that the standard "cheap" kit lens on most DSLR's can produce good images. Well done.
