I learnt this lesson a long time ago, Reinardina. Not just with this site, but all blog sites. I now copy my more longwinded messages to the clipboard, just in case...

I tend to write any lengthy replies in word and then copy and paste; just in case.; as I've learnt the hard way and lost work before now.

yes, me too. I generally leave Word open and resting on the taskbar in readiness for use.

I do this when I know it is going to be a lenghty post, but this time it was just a shortish reply to someone's PM.
Still very annoyed I had to write it again though.

I have noticed that some 'Word written' posts get a bit mangled in transit, don't know if that is due the font used, or whether it is something else.

I tend to use Garamond, as this is the font a lot of publishers prefer for hard copies. It works fine for me.
