New photos from Tunisia - help critique

I just got back from a trip to Tunisia and I'm working on my photo and editing, I'd greatly appreciate any of you who have time to look at these photos and / or some of my 120 new posts on my website and give me some feedback.

THANKS!

I guess I'll just stick to the photo forum (TFP) asking for critique here seems useless.

Hi Griffith,

Patience dear fellow!

I like the feel of the first shot, but I just wonder whether a tighter crop may have worked better. I feel the young child is too small and insignificant in the shot, when they should be the main focal point. I'd have been tempted to do a close-up portrait, using that bare wall as your backdrop and let the childs eyes and facial expression tell the story.

I like your second shot. The composition is spot on, though was it necessary to blow all the highlights from the area outside of the shelter?

I don't like the blown highlights in your third shot either, but again I do like the composition. My gut feeling is that this shot should be one of a series, telling a story as it would work better that way than on it's own.

I'm still thinking about your final shot. I can't quite make my mind up on what I think about it. I wonder whether others are having a similar problem, hence why you've not received any other replies.
