Your missions

Hello. I enjoy the magazine and following the your missions, sometimes entering if I have something suitable. However I find it quite frustrating that the your mission results page on the website isn't up to date.

A new issue of the mag is out and last months issue isn't even featured yet on this page. There is still the closing date of 5 april for the issue before that and we are still waiting for the results for issue 109.
I also prefered it when there were more than just the top 3 entries features in the magazine, with the rest being featured on the website. There was more chance of getting printed in the magazine and it was nice to see in print more of a selection of the readers images. Also what is the point of being in the top selection and being featured on the website if they aren't actually going to be put on the website. I realise there is some processing time but I feel the delay here at the moment is too long. There seems to be a big gap between updates and then suddenly a big update, but I think it should be more little and often. I mean for last months issue to not even be listed is a little slow. And with a new issue out now, if the website has been updated for it to be advertised there is a new issue, surely the new mission should be listed on the mission page, or it just makes the whole mission thing a little pointless.
I do like dc mag and also enjoy following the misssions, but feel I wanted to let you know my thoughts on this, a good feature, but frustrating when not up to date. Thanks.

You're absolutely right, this kind of delay is not good enough and it's something I'll work on to try and get them up quicker. I'm the one that puts up the missions, and as I'm not working for the magazine, I have the same wait to see what the new mission will be.

When I haven't had time to put up the new mission details on the page, I have always made sure to include them in the forum, they are always stickied at the top of the Digital Camera page so you should have the details as soon as the magazine comes out.

I appreciate though that you've come to expect a level of service that has not been provided, and I will try my best to keep it better updated in future, and I will do some more pestering to get the galleries from previous issues up soon too.

As you say you do not work for the magazine you probably can't answer why it has changed from a wider selection of images to be featured in the magazine to now just 3 and the rest on the website. I assume this was a change just made as the whole magazine format changed. For me it is just a shame because I enjoyed the challenge and the greater possibility of being featured in the magazine. It was nice to have something to work on each month, but reducing the number of entries printed, kind of reduces the magnitude of the feature.
