Brickwork frame

This was taken a couple of weeks ago at Bicton Gardens near where I live:-

Interesting idea, but there just seems to be too much going on in this shot, Dave. I'm confused as to what is the main subject in your shot. Is it the domed greenhouse, the stone urn set with yellow flowers or the tree full of pink blossom? I can't make my mind up as to which one, so are there too many distractions?

What does everyone else think?

I tend to agree with Ian. Is it possible to isolate one thing (such as the yellow plant) and frame it with the brick window?

Thanks guys, I loved the concept of the shot but it didn't seem to quite work and I was not sure why, my wife thinks it is a lovely picture and thought I was being picky so hence the reason I posted it on here to get feedback.

I am going to re-shoot it and try different angles and also the same composition but a wider aperture to see if that works. I think the key is I need a focal point within the brick frame basic stuff I know but I think the brick work frame and the hot day may have distracted my brain

I really like it. It's as if it's a picture on the wall (which I think is what you were trying to achieve).

I think it could do with a little more wall in the picture, and the wall perhaps a little darker. Also the wall on the right looks a bit distorted, I'm not sure if this is barrel distortion or if it's a wobbly wall.

Regards

Nick

Thanks nick, it is a very wobbly wall which is part of the appeal probably a bit of barrel distortion as well mind you
