Just my experience. (I won't be getting a 5D MkIII though as I have sold all the family members I had to get the previous 2 cameras & have nobody else to sell)
I could sell my husband, two sisters, got plenty of nieces and nephews. Morocco sound good place to flog them? lol

I think with this level of camera and the popularity of the MKII with pro photographers, the price will hold its level for a good few years. I replaced my 5d classic with the 5dMKII at the end of last year and it was quite difficult to get hold of. Remember that the BBC has approved the video of the MKII as a production camera - see here:

http://www.definitionmagazine.com/jo...ase-basis.html

If the MKIII is as good or probably better because continuous auto focus for video will be an added feature, then we mortals stand little chance of getting one until it has been out for some time. I could be wrong though, but Canon do not flood the market with this level of camera unless they are very sure about it.

Price can only be affected by three factors: the cost to produce, competition & supply/demand.

Wholesale factory costs continue to rise, especially oil, fuels & derivatives like plastics.

5D Mark II competition remains surprisingly weak so there are few alternatives.

And the recent earthquake has further restricted supply to an already tight supply chain.

It is unlikely then that the price of a Mark II will fall at all until one or more of the three conditions change substantially.

And if a Mark III is announced, expect a price premium, not a discount.

Better get a second job then if you cant afford a new one.
