Question T or T2 mounts

Hi all,

I've just purchased a s/h Photax 400mm 6.3 lens (very good price) my only problem is that I don't know what type of mount it has. I assumed it was a T2 so I got myself a T2 to Canon eos adapter but this has a 47mm female thread and my lens requires a 47mm male thread.
Does anybody know what I need?

Tony

I thought they were M42 mount. Are you sure it's 47mm?

I thought T & T2 mounts were for telescopes only?

I found one of those lenses list on eBay, T2 mount so the listing says. The picture was not clear on the threading.

Hi Guys,
Just re-checked this lens and it definitely has a 47mm interrnal thread so I'm stumped.

I'm stumpted too. The only thing I've found is a an adaptor for 47mm flange lenses to M42 mount. It costs a tenner from mirrorlenses.co.uk. You might be able to combine that with an M42 to EOS adaptor.

You could also contact the excellent Photographic Collectors Cluv of GB, they may be able to help you identify exactly what thread it is.
