Tips for Party Photography...

Hi all, I'm going to be the duty camera-nobber at my wifes 40th birthday party this evening (bit short notice I realise) and I would like some tips and advice from those of you a bit more experienced in this particular aspect of photography.

The party is an '80's themed fancy dress party so plenty of scope for some fun pictures.

I am equipped with my trusty Nikon D5000, a Nikkor 50mm 1.4, my Nikkor 18-200mm VRII and my Nissin Di866 speedlite.

Thanks in advance.
