Smile A few shots of a short eared owl

taken last evening. It was rather a long way off, but here are my attempts.









Used 500 f4 lens, with x2 converter, ISO 1600 on a 1D mk3. So it wasn't too easy!

Hope that you like them.

Cracking shots at that range. Wonder why you choose a faster shutter speed when he is still on the ground against in flight.

I love the last one and would like to see the bigger version so that you can really get close to the owl.
